About Us
The college was established in 1994 with both hopes and challenges, born out of a long-cherished dream to bring higher education to the heart of the tribal-dominated Kusumi Block of Mayurbhanj District, Odisha. Located in the serene surroundings of Badampahar, the institution stands as a beacon of learning and empowerment for the local community, especially for students from tribal and rural backgrounds who aspire to pursue higher studies.
Since its inception, the college has been dedicated to promoting education in the Arts stream, offering courses in History, Political Science, Education, and Anthropology, along with language studies in M.I.L. (Odia and Santali) and English. The inclusion of Santali as a medium of instruction reflects the institution’s commitment to preserving and promoting indigenous languages and culture.
Over the years, the college has strived to nurture intellectual curiosity, moral values, and social responsibility among its students. It aims to create an inclusive and inspiring academic environment that encourages holistic development, critical thinking, and respect for cultural diversity.
With dedicated faculty, a growing infrastructure, and an ever-expanding vision, the college continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the educational and socio-economic landscape of the region. It stands as a testament to the belief that education is the most powerful tool for empowerment and progress.
